Relief Efforts in Philippines

The Philippines has been in Maranatha’s prayers following the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan. The loss is overwhelming, and we pray for God to provide courage to this country as they slowly recover from the disaster.

Maranatha has received many questions about our response to the Philippines. While Maranatha is a responsive organization when it comes to the need for structures, we are not a disaster relief agency.

In these first weeks following the typhoon, the people of the Philippines need basic care and supplies. Organizations like ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) are first responders, and they need much support as they face this grim challenge.

Maranatha is prepared to discuss how we can help when the timing is appropriate for what we provide. But for now, please continue supporting disaster relief agencies and praying for the Philippines.
