Overview

Union Springs Academy is one of our many efforts based in North America. Each year, Maranatha works with organizations in the United States and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects.

Volunteers will be working at Union Springs Academy in western New York state, near the city of Buffalo. The academy was founded in 1921, and more than one hundred years later the campus now includes administration and classroom buildings, dormitories, faculty housing, a church, and athletic facilities. In addition, the school operates a farm and orchard, and has many cabins on campus that are utilized for camp meetings and other events.

On this project, volunteers will help with renovations on staff housing, the boys and girls dorm and in the cafeteria. Work will include flooring, painting, installation of cabinets and counters as well as a cement pour, and painting.

VIEW ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

Union Springs Academy has a variety of housing options for volunteers. Arrangements will be made for you in the dormitories or in cabins on campus. Families will be roomed together. Volunteers will need to bring their own towels, pillow, and twin bedding to use during the project. There are also RV sites will partial hookups for those wishing to bring their RV.

Travel Information

If you are planning on flying to the project, the closest airport is Syracuse (SYR).

Please book flights that come in before 6 pm on the arrival date. If you need to fly in later than 6 pm or outside of the arrival and departure dates, please check with the Maranatha office to confirm that your travel plans can be accommodated.
