Overview
Camp Wawona (CA) Project is one of our many efforts based in North America. Each year, Maranatha works with organizations in the United States and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects.
Camp Wawona has served as an outdoor sanctuary for summer campers and retreats since 1931. It sits on 30 acres of land inside Yosemite National Park and is the only SDA owned camp that sits inside a national park. Please consider joining us as we assist to remodel a lodge which will include upgrading lighting, flooring, electrical, plumbing as well as upgrade the kitchen, dining, laundry and storage areas.

Flight Details
If you are planning on flying to the project, the closest airport is Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT). This is approximately an hour and a half from the camp site.
Please book flights that come in before 6 pm on the arrival date. If you need to fly in later than 6 pm or outside of the arrival and departure dates, please check with the Maranatha office to confirm that your travel plans can be accommodated.

Three meals a day, accident insurance, and local housing are free in exchange for your volunteer labor.

Accommodation Details
Volunteers will stay in the lodge available at Camp Wawona. There is a mixture of cabins and lodge rooms and volunteers will be accommodated in one of the available rooms. Volunteers will need to provide their own pillows, twin bed linens, and towels to use during the project. There are 3 RV spaces with partial hookups available for those wishing to bring their RVs and a dump site is nearby. Meals will be provided by the camp cafeteria.
