Overview

The Georgia-Cumberland Academy (GA) Project is one of our many efforts based in North America. Each year, Maranatha works with organizations in the United States and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects.

Impacting lives since 1965, Georgia-Cumberland Academy is an SDA boarding high school located in scenic Northwest Georgia and is situated on 500 acres. The school’s motto, “to know, to love, to serve”. The school currently serves 280 students.

Maranatha Volunteers will assist with students housing in a two phase renovation project. Fist phase, demolition. Second phase includes flooring, paint and window and door installation.

Travel Information

If you are planning on flying to the project, the closest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). This is approximately 60 miles from the site.

Please book flights that come in before 6 pm on the arrival date. If you need to fly in later, please check with the Maranatha office to confirm that your arrival time can be accommodated. Please send your itinerary to volunteer@maranatha.org so pick up arrangements can be made.
