Excursions
Optional Excursion: Rio de Janeiro

An excursion to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is an unforgettable adventure that blends breathtaking natural beauty with iconic landmarks. The Christ the Redeemer statue has its arms outstretched, embracing Rio and the ocean beyond. The view is panoramic: Copacabana Beach, Ipanema, the Maracanã Stadium, and even Sugarloaf Mountain in the distance. Heading from there to the Urca district, a charming seaside neighborhood, we will visit the Sugarloaf Mountain. This towering granite peak rises from the edge of Guanabara Bay and offers one of the most iconic vistas in South America. The journey involves two cable car rides: first to Morro da Urca, and then on to the summit of Sugarloaf. As the cable car glides silently through the air, the city unfolds beneath you: yachts in the harbor, surfers at Praia Vermelha, and the sun casting golden light over the favelas and modern skyline. At the top, you’re treated to 360-degree views of Rio’s natural and urban beauty, especially magical if you time your visit for sunset.
