Overview

Join Maranatha in Kenya’s fascinating country! There is a great need for churches and schools in this eastern African country, and local church leadership has requested Maranatha’s assistance.

Volunteers on this project will work at the Kimogoro Adventist School. This school started in 1996 with only 35 students and is now home to more than 300 kids. The growing campus needs help improving its infrastructure.

This group will be building a new classroom building on campus. Depending on the skills of the volunteers who join the team, there may also be opportunities to conduct local community outreach, children’s programs, and health education.

This project will also include two safari excursions at the world-famous Masai Mara National Park.

Masai Mara National Park

Masai Mara National Park is one of the largest national parks in Kenya and known for “The Great Migration” of herds between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara each year. Within a few hours of being at the reserve, it is possible to see the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, water buffalo, rhinoceros, and elephant) as well as many other wild animals including zebras, giraffes, hippopotamuses, wildebeests, cheetahs, antelope, vultures, hyenas, and much more! The group will enjoy a full day safari in the park.

All hotels, food, transportation, activities, and park entrances during the excursion days are covered by the excursion fee paid to Maranatha.
