Overview

Join Maranatha in the Dominican Republic!

Maranatha has a long history of working in the DR, dating back to the early 1990s. The churches and schools that have been completed have since blossomed, creating a need for more urgently needed buildings as congregations outgrow the current facilities. Local church leadership has requested assistance once again, and Maranatha is gladly responding to this call.

Volunteers in this project will help build the new Paraiso Divino Church in the Village of La Piedra, just 30 minutes from the Las Américas International Airport, East of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Depending on the skills and interests of the volunteers who register, this project could also include community outreach, including children’s ministry and health education.

Catalina Island, also known as Isla Catalina, is a tropical island located 1.5 miles from the mainland on the southeast corner of the Dominican Republic, near La Altagracia and La Romana. It is an occasional destination for cruise ships on Caribbean routes. Catalina Island is a true gem of the Dominican Republic and one of the best destinations for snorkeling and diving due to its crystal-clear waters and huge coral reefs.
