Kenya Open Team 2017
Overview
Maranatha has recently started work in the fascinating country of Kenya. There is a great need for churches and schools and local church leadership has requested Maranatha’s assistance.
On this project, volunteers will be building new classrooms for the Getare Adventist School This primary school has been in existence for the last 20 years and has a thriving group of students. Their current classrooms are made out of mud and the students and leadership of the school have to keep adding more mud to keep the buildings together. Maranatha will be providing brand new metal structures that are designed to last generations and will not only provide a better learning experience for the current students, but will open up more space for additional students.
In addition to the construction of the school classrooms, volunteers will also reach out into the local community to conduct outreach such as children’s ministry programs, health education, and much more. More information will be available shortly.
