For nearly two weeks, more than 50 volunteers have been working at Camp Alamisco, a camp and retreat center in central Alabama. Participants tackled major renovations in eight rooms in the lodge. This required complete demolition and new framing, and installing everything from sheetrock and plumbing, to windows and doors. Volunteers also worked to beautify the campus through landscaping.
Camp Alamisco is the second of more than a dozen projects Maranatha has scheduled in the United States this year, so far.
Maranatha’s projects in the United States provide a great benefit to the hosting organizations. Volunteers provide free labor, saving a church, camp, or school campus thousands of dollars. Learn more about Maranatha’s North America Project Assistance program.
