Overview

Join Maranatha in Paraguay to build another urgently needed church. The church members in Nueva Italia, less than two hours from Asunción, Paraguay’s capital city, have a deep desire to serve their community. You have an opportunity to write your own mission story there, providing a place of worship for that church to grow and bless the little town.

Travel Information

Volunteers will need to purchase their own plane tickets to Asunción (ASU), Paraguay. Please note there are two departure options depending on whether you choose to participate in the excursion or not.

Those who opt not to participate in the optional excursion can depart from Asunción (ASU) on March 1.

Volunteers going on the excursion can depart from Iguazu Falls International Airport (IGU) on March 3, 2026. This trip to Brazil requires an eVisa. Follow the steps on the following website to get your travel document: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com

Please plan to depart from home a day (or two) before the advertised start date to ensure arrival on time. Maranatha representatives will meet volunteers upon arrival in Asunción.

Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls is a massive waterfall system located on the border between Argentina and Brazil. It comprises over 275 separate falls and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The falls are on the border between Argentina’s province of Misiones and Brazil’s state of ParanĆ”.
