Union Springs Academy (NY) Project
What's Included
Overview
Union Springs Academy is one of our many efforts based in North America. Each year, Maranatha works with organizations in the United States and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects.
Volunteers will be working at Union Springs Academy in western New York state, near the city of Buffalo. The academy was founded in 1921, and more than one hundred years later the campus now includes administration and classroom buildings, dormitories, faculty housing, a church, and athletic facilities. In addition, the school operates a farm and orchard, and has many cabins on campus that are utilized for camp meetings and other events.
On this project, volunteers will help with dorm renovations. In the boys dorm we will install new sinks, faucets, steel countertops, cabinets and painting. In the girls dorm we will help with several bathroom remodels. Volunteers will also remove and replace three main sidewalks, and install new flooring and painting in the elementary school.
