Overview

Alvarado Adventist Church is located in Alvarado, Texas and is one of our many efforts based in North America. Each year, Maranatha works with organizations in the United States and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects.

Volunteers on this project will help to frame a 6,300 square foot sanctuary, complete with doors and windows. Please consider joining us!

Project stats: 6300 sqft *$150 *15% complete = $141,750.
246 volunteer hours during repairs. (246 *7days *$30hr=51,660)

Building material was late to show up, we only completed the exterior and interior walls. Because of the delay, volunteers were able to help with other projects needed on the old sanctuaryL replaced roof shingles, drywall repairs, ceiling repairs, bathroom cabinet repair, rebuilt well house including new insulation, new siding, replaced door and trip. Volunteers on this project who request housing will be staying at the local church or with local church members in their homes.

Travel Information

If you are planning on flying to the project, the closest airport is Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). This is approximately 45 miles from the site. You may also fly into Love Field (DAL). This is 45 miles from site as well.

Please book flights that come in before 6 pm on the arrival date. If you need to fly in later, please check with the Maranatha office to confirm that your arrival time can be accommodated. Please send your itinerary to volunteer@maranatha.org so pick up arrangements can be made.
