What's Included

Overview

Camp Whitesand is located 30 minutes west of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, along the beautiful Whitesand River and is surrounded by a natural forest. The natural surroundings provide over 12km of trails used for horseback riding and outdoor activities. The river is a great place for water sports, canoeing, and swimming.
Last year volunteers helped build a cabin. This year they are requesting assistance with the finishing touches. Volunteers will also be putting on a metal roof on their pavilion as well as doing some concrete work.

Completed work:
Youth pavilion roof replaced with metal
6 cabins roofs completed with metal
4 cabins sanded and painted
Interior walls done in pine boards and roof insulated in Tri-plex building (Gwen Bader Center), electrical all done by volunteers, which was built by MVI in 2018.
Completed gable ends on Tri-plex building exterior
Resanded and three coats floor paint on new washroom block
Some general maintenance of ground work with equipment supplied.
