Rio Lindo Academy Open Team

Overview

Rio Lindo Adventist Academy is one of our many efforts based in North America. Each year, Maranatha works with organizations in the United States and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects. Rio Lindo Adventist Academy is located in Northern California about 60 miles north of San Francisco. It has 365 acres nestled in a bend of the Russian River. It’s about three and half miles off of Highway 101. The location makes for easy access and an ideal retreat for volunteers. Maranatha volunteers will be assisting with painting the outside of 30 staff houses and remodeling the boys and girls dormitory rooms.

Volunteers completed:
Painted two houses
Reroofed two houses and painted the trim
Cleaned brush in RV area, elementary school area, and three faculty home yards
Renovated five rooms in the boys’ dorm (i.e. removed drawers, cut new drawer fronts and closet doors, sanded and painted closet/sink areas)
Cleaned and organized the following areas around the campus:
Pride Dorm Chapel
Boys’ Dorm Cleaning Supplies Closet
Student Center Two small side rooms
Cafeteria Freezer
Washed all windows inside & out; washed sidewalk
Music Bldg. Stage area and bathroom
Home Arts Washed windows; cleaned six individual kitchenettes
SA Closet Removed outdated decorations, etc. etc.!

Art Bldg. Bathrooms
Maintenance Bathroom
