Dominican Republic Open Team
Overview
Join Maranatha volunteers as we build a new church for the Sinai congregation near Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The members of this church have been meeting for nineteen years, and there are currently 44 members who gather in a very old, rundown church. The roof leaks every time it rains, making it very difficult for meetings to be held there. The members were slated to have their new church built in December of 2014, but the project had to be postponed due to funding. Now Maranatha is moving forward, and the congregation is excited to welcome the Maranatha volunteers who will be the answer to their prayers. This project will also consist of several community outreach opportunities including children’s ministry programs.
