Overview

Maranatha offers at least two family projects each year that provide service opportunities for every family member, young and old. This year, spend Christmas in the fascinating country of India!

There is a great need for churches and schools throughout India, and volunteers on this project will be the answer to prayers at the Irvine Adventist English School located in the State of Assam. The students at the Irvine School urgently need a new girls’ dormitory to replace the old building, which is in deplorable condition. You can be part of this mission story.

Depending on the number of volunteers who join and their skill sets, the group may also reach out to the surrounding community through health outreach and children’s ministry programs. During the project, younger volunteers, aged 12 and under, will have the opportunity to attend the Day Camp, where they can experience different aspects of service and gain insights into daily life in India.

At the end of the project, the group will have the opportunity to visit some of India’s main tourist attractions, including the Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Taj Mahal in Agra, as well as the Amber Fort and the City Palace in Jaipur. A domestic flight from Guwahati to Jaipur is included in the excursion cost of this project.

Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, offers a wealth of attractions for tourists. Some of the most popular include Amber Fort and the City Palace.
