Overview

Maranatha’s annual teen project, the Ultimate Workout, is entering its 26th year, and we are once again offering two Ultimate Workouts, one in the United States and one in the Dominican Republic! Each year, high school aged teens from around the world join the Ultimate Workout and find opportunities to grow physically, socially, and spiritually. This year we are expecting more than 150 volunteers to join together to make a difference in the Dominican Republic. Maranatha provides all project leadership; we are not currently looking for chaperones and chaperones are not required in order for a teen group to attend.

This group of volunteers will become a family as they construct churches, renovate and paint existing buildings, conduct local community outreach and children’s programs and hold medical and dental clinics in surrounding villages. Download the information brochure for more information.

Final deadline for full payment and additional forms is six weeks before the project, June 1.

Excursions
Catalina Island

During the project, we’ll get a chance to visit some touristy parts of the Dominican Republic. The island is known for white sand beaches and beautiful Caribbean weather. We will take a bus to La Romana and board a catamaran that will take us to a smaller island called Isla Catalina. On the island there is a beautiful sandy beach, warm water, and palm trees. The tour includes snorkeling equipment, although there isn’t a whole lot to see besides sand. A meal is included, and there will also be opportunities to purchase local area souvenirs on the island.
