Volunteers on this project will build a church for a congregation in San Isidro, Dominican Republic. Located just east of Santo Domingo, the congregation first formed three years ago as a church plant and has been meeting in a small rented facility. Their new church will be such a blessing and will relieve them of paying high rent they cannot afford.

In addition to the construction of a new church, this group will offer a dental clinic, health education, and a VBS program.

Excursions
Isla Catalina

The Dominican Republic is known for white sand beaches and beautiful Caribbean weather. During the project, the group will take a trip to Isla Catalina. The beaches on the island are quintessential Caribbean beaches complete with white sand, warm water, and palm trees. The group will take a two-hour bus trip to La Romana, and from there, take a chartered catamaran to Isla Catalina. The tour includes snorkeling equipment and lunch. There will also be opportunities to purchase souvenirs in the colonial district of Santo Domingo.

Sabbath Excursions

On the first Saturday of the project, the group will also visit a local landmark known as Los Tres Ojos, or The Three Eyes. This open-air limestone cave is a series of three lakes fed by underground rivers. On the second Saturday, the group will visit the Adventist University in Bonao and visit nearby waterfalls.
