Join Maranatha in Paraguay for the first time in 20 years! Volunteers in this group will be working near Asunción, the capital and the largest city in the country.

Scope

Construction
ESP – Los voluntarios colocarán paredes de bloques para una nueva iglesia en Paraguay.
POR – Os Voluntários construirão paredes de blocos para uma nova igreja no Paraguai.
ENG – Volunteers will lay block walls for a new church in Paraguay.

Community Outreach
ESP – Si tenemos suficientes voluntarios interesados ​​en niños o iniciativas de salud, podemos incluirlos en el ámbito laboral.

Travel Information

Volunteers will need to purchase their own plane tickets to Asunción (ASU), Paraguay. Please note there are two departure options depending on whether you choose to participate in the excursion or not.

Those who opt not to participate in the optional excursion can depart from Asunción (ASU) on the 24th or from Falls International Airport (IGU) on the afternoon of the 24th.

Volunteers going on the excursion can depart from Iguazu Falls International Airport (IGU) at any time on the 26th, or from Asunción (ASU) in the afternoon (additional expenses may apply).

Please plan to depart from home a day or two before the advertised start date to ensure arrival on time. Maranatha representatives will meet volunteers upon arrival in Asunción.

Please wait for confirmation before purchasing your airfare. Booking flights outside the specified windows could result in additional fees and missed portions of the project.

Excursions
Iguazú Falls

Volunteers in this project will visit the Triple Frontier, a triborder area along the junction of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, where the Iguazú and Paraná rivers converge. The main attraction in that area are the Iguazú Falls or Iguaçu Falls and the excursion will include the waterfalls on the Argentine side, province of Misiones and the Brazilian side in the State of Paraná. Together, they make up the largest waterfall system in the world.
