Volunteers are typically confirmed via email within 1-3 business days. Volunteers are encouraged to make their participation payments as soon as possible (payments are fully refundable up until the final deadline). You may pay via credit or debit card online or over the phone or by check made payable to “Maranatha Volunteers International” and sent to our office with your name and project name included. The online payment link is on the next page after you submit your registration form. For Canadian tax-deductible receipts, payments must by made by check sent to Maranatha Canadian Association.
One Month Before Project Departure
Deadline to submit the following to Maranatha:
- Round trip airfare itinerary.
- Full payment, $100 per person is non refundable at the final deadline.
- Legible photocopy of your passport (International Projects).
- One original, notarized “Permission for a Minor to Travel” form for those under the age of 18 at the start of the project. Needed if both parents or legal guardians are not traveling with the minor. (You will need to have two originals notarized and you will need to keep the second notarized form with your travel documents/passport.)

The Volunteer desires to work as a volunteer for various projects identified by Maranatha and engage in the activities related to being a volunteer for Maranatha (“Activities”). The Volunteer understands that the Activities may include constructing and rehabilitating church buildings, clerical work, and or caring for individuals who may be sick or injured.
The Volunteer hereby freely, voluntarily, and without duress executes this Release and Waiver of Liability under the following terms:
Release and Waiver of Liability. In consideration for being allowed to participate in the Activities, the Volunteer does hereby release and forever discharge, waive, covenant not to sue, and otherwise hold harmless Maranatha and their successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which are related to, arise, or may hereafter arise from the Volunteer’s Activities.
The Volunteer understands that this Release discharges Maranatha from any liability or claim that the Volunteer may have against Maranatha with respect to any emotional or mental harm or trauma, bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from or relate to the Volunteer’s Activities, whether caused by the negligence of Maranatha or their officers, directors, employees, or agents or otherwise. The Volunteer understands that the Activities include work that may be inherently dangerous and hazardous to the Volunteers, including, but not limited to, construction, loading and unloading, and transportation to and from the work sites. The Volunteer hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of injury or harm in the Activities and releases Maranatha from all liability for emotional or mental harm or trauma, injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from or related to the Activities.
Insurance for Domestic Projects For volunteers participating on projects in their home country, Maranatha does carry a primary accident policy, but the Volunteer understands that Maranatha does not carry or maintain health, medical, workers compensation or disability insurance coverage for the Volunteer. Each volunteer is expected and encouraged to obtain his or her own medical or health insurance coverage.
Insurance for International Projects For volunteers participating on projects outside their home country, Maranatha does carry a primary medical and accident policy, but the Volunteer understands that Maranatha does not carry or maintain workers compensation or disability insurance coverage for the Volunteer. Each volunteer is expected and encouraged to obtain and review his or her own additional insurance coverage as needed.
Photographic Release. The Volunteer does hereby grant and convey to Maranatha all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Maranatha during the Volunteer’s Activities with Maranatha, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.
Minor Children. The signature of a parent or guardian of a minor child on this Release shall make all provisions of this Release applicable to and binding on the minor child.
Other. The Volunteer expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of California, and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California. The Volunteer agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release which shall continue to be enforceable.
By agreeing to the statements above, the Volunteer further agrees that he or she represents all the volunteers which are signed up on this form including any minors for whom he or she is responsible.

In order for you to be confirmed for this mission trip, each individual or family will need to submit at least half of their total participation fee. (This payment is refundable for those not confirmed). You may pay via credit or debit card online or over the phone or by check made payable to “Maranatha Volunteers International” and sent to our office with your name and project name included. Some group leaders collect the funds from their small group and submit one check to Maranatha with a list of the participants who have paid. In order to participate in this project your full payment, travel arrangements, and parental consent form (for those under 18 if not traveling with both guardians) must be submitted to Maranatha at least one month prior to the project unless otherwise noted. The Registration Process
Confirmations notifying applicants of their acceptance on the project will be sent out as soon as possible. Along with your confirmation, you will receive additional forms and the flight guidelines. Please do not purchase your airfare until you are confirmed.
A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required for confirmation. You may pay via Credit or Debit Card online or by checks made payable to Maranatha Volunteers International and sent to our US address. To receive a Canadian tax-deductible receipt, send the USD equivalent in Canadian funds to the Maranatha Canadian Association.
The following items must be received at Maranatha Volunteers International online or by mail six weeks before the project:
- Full payment. The $250 deposit is non-refundable.
- Legible copy of your complete flight itinerary with confirmation code
- Passport copy
- Three online recommendation forms
- One original notarized parental consent form for those under the age of 18 years of age on the first day of the project.

Photographic Release. The Volunteer does hereby grant and convey to Maranatha all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Maranatha during the Volunteer’s Activities with Maranatha, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.
Minor Children. The signature of a parent or guardian of a minor child on this Release shall make all provisions of this Release applicable to and binding on the minor child.
Other. The Volunteer expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of California, and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California. The Volunteer agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release which shall continue to be enforceable.
By agreeing to the statements above, the Volunteer further agrees that he or she represents all the volunteers which are signed up on this form including any minors for whom he or she is responsible.
