Kenya Impact in 2022

As we look back on 2022 in Kenya, Maranatha volunteers and our in-country team there have made a big difference. Our One-Day Church crew traversed the country, traveling to hard to reach sites in the bush. The team completed 142 structures for congregations meeting in inadequate spaces. Our water well crew also covered a lot of ground, drilling 66 wells that now provide clean, accessible water to thousands of people in need.

Maranatha also dedicated the Kiutine Adventist School after years of improvements, and continued to build out the campus of the Kajiado Adventist School and Rescue Center, where 162 volunteers served in 2022. Recently, a new guard house was added at Kajiado, along with sidewalks that connect the high school dorms to the classrooms. The crew is now working on landscaping, church bathrooms, and concrete slabs for gazebos. Soon, they’ll begin a new cafeteria building.

Maranatha has been working in Kenya since 2016, building One-Day Churches, schools, and drilling water wells. More than 1,000 structures have been completed so far.
