Ileret Water Wells
Many of you contributed to our first water well fundraising event to lleret Kenya. Ileret is on the Ethiopia border making logistics for well drilling and living very difficult. Our group donated over $105,000 which became the major funding source for the drill trip to Ileret in October 2021. Story
What makes us different from other well drilling fundraiser’s is that through maranatha volunteers international we have a direct link to a well drilling rig. 100% of the funds
donated to this link go to the drilling of our well projects. Maranatha also has a
well maintenance truck that visits every well once a year for maintenance, we
even fix other broken wells when we find them. Of the 6 wells that were drilled in Ileret,
we hit sweet water with 5 of them and had 1 dry hole. Reports from the area
suggest a complete change in the way of life for the people who now have clean
water.
