Nyanchwa Church Project

The Nyanchwa Adventist Church is a historic Seventh-day Adventist center located in Kisii, Kenya. It serves as a vital base for the Adventist faith, education, and community health services in the region. Built by the long-term British missionary Frederick George Thomas (1926–2016), the old building now shows signs of nearly 70 years as a place of worship for generations.

Overview

Excursions

Nairobi National Park

Volunteers will experience Kenya’s incredible wildlife and natural beauty with a morning game drive at Nairobi National Park. Departing early in the morning, the group will be in the park as the sun rises over the savannah, when wildlife is often active and the temperatures are cooler.

As the safari vehicle travels through the park, volunteers will have the opportunity to see animals such as giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelope, rhinos, lions, and a variety of bird species. One of the most unique aspects of Nairobi National Park is its striking contrast between the wild African landscape and Nairobi’s modern skyline in the distance.
