The Nyanchwa Adventist Church is a historic Seventh-day Adventist center located in Kisii, Kenya. It serves as a vital base for the Adventist faith, education, and community health services in the region. Built by the long-term British missionary Frederick George Thomas (1926–2016), the old building now shows signs of nearly 70 years as a place of worship for generations.

Overview
The Nyanchwa Adventist Church is a historic Seventh-day Adventist center located in Kisii, Kenya. It serves as a vital base for the Adventist faith, education, and community health services in the region. Built by the long-term British missionary Frederick George Thomas (1926–2016), the old building now shows signs of nearly 70 years as a place of worship for generations.
The Thomas family has fundraised for a renovation project at the Nyanchwa Adventist Church and is partnering with Maranatha to replace the roof and paint the old walls. A small group of selected volunteers will join this special project.

Flight Details
Volunteers will purchase their own plane tickets to and from Nairobi, Kenya. The posted dates are the project’s arrival and departure dates. You may need to leave home a day or two before the advertised start date to arrive on time. Maranatha representatives will meet volunteers upon arrival in Kenya.

What's Included
The participation fee covers housing during the project, daily vegetarian meals, ground transportation to and from the airport and project site, short-term travel insurance, a Maranatha t-shirt, and luggage tags. International or domestic flights, passports, and vaccinations are not included. All prices will be listed in US dollars. The project participation fee ($1,600) is tax-deductible.
