Get Ready for #GivingTuesday

In the time following Thanksgiving, it’s become an American tradition for people to put down the gravy boat and head to the stores for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Oddly, the one holiday celebrating gratitude quickly transitions into a
frenzy of consumerism.

But in 2012, a group of organizations in New York decided to start a global movement to celebrate giving. Selecting the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, they named the initiative #GivingTuesday, and thousands of organizations and people have taken part.

So on December 2—after you’ve washed that last dish and eaten the last morsel of Thanksgiving leftovers, please be part of the #GivingTuesday movement by making a gift—of any size—to a charity of your choice! Of course, we hope you’ll give to Maranatha!
