Lake City Academy (ID) Project
What's Included
Overview
The Lake City Academy (ID) Project is one of our many efforts based in North America. Each year, Maranatha works with organizations in the United States and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects.
Lake City Academy was founded in 1909 and is accredited for Preschool through 10th grade. Students score on average 2.5 grades above grade level. They currently have 150 students and are operating at maximum capacity, as well as turning away students. With Maranatha’s assistance in building 12 more classrooms, Lake City Academy will be able to expand their campus and offer a 9-12 grade program in collaboration with Upper Columbia Academy. Currently the 9-12 grades meet in the church.
Volunteers will construct a 14,500 square ft wood frame building for the school.
Volunteers framed 9000 square ft wood frame building for the school out of the 14,500 square ft requested. Got as far as installing floor trusses for second floor.
